Mothers’ Day
Happy Mothers’ Day to all of our moms, past and present! I am using the pluralized Mothers’ Day having just read Heather Cox Richardson’s most informative blog and wanting to stand in solidarity with women.

Unfortunately, Mothers’ Day 2022 is not a joyful time of deserved respect and progress for women. Instead, women are being regulated by too many toxic males that have long ago lost any compassion and gentlemanliness their mothers’ tried to instill in them. They are failed men, trying to keep women from succeeding as well.
Here in France, I’ve enjoyed observing how the French treat women. I’ve seen signs in subways and trams that alert everyone to any violence against women. I see beautiful French girls and women being treated with equal respect. There are not shows of hypermasculinity piercing the calmness of society. And, like the better men in America, I see men caring for their children. Men pushing strollers, taking their children on bike rides, and men showing affection openly to young adults.
I want to thank my Mom for having raised in me an aspiring gentleman.
