You can’t help but feel the spirit. Newfoundland is considered the ‘most Irish’ outside of Ireland. https://www.irishtimes.com/ireland/2023/05/15/newfoundland-communities-are-most-irish-outside-ireland-genetic-study-finds/ Their license plates say, ‘Come Home’ 🍀 Newfoundland is a wonderful place. Not sure I will ever call it home, but I’d be proud to be from Newfoundland....
Visited Signal Hill this lovely St. Paddy’s Day morn. Adjacent to Cabot Tower and at the highest point on Signal Hill is Ladies’ Lookout. Legend says that the women would come here to look for their men returning home safely from the sea.
Let me be the first in North America to wish you a Happy St Patrick’s Day! Top of the morning to ya!
Visited Erin’s Pub, then Kelly’s Pub. There’s live music in most every pub!
I love the interaction between the land and sea.
I found an amazing spot in St. John’s and feel so happy to be here.

The transmission, in Morse code, originated from his Poldhu Wireless Station in Cornwall England.

There is a distinct style of buildings in downtown St. John’s that catches your eye. There were two major fires in St. John’s that destroyed the downtown. The first was in 1846. Then, only 50 years later, The Great Fire of 1892 left 11,000 people...
Looks like I just squeaked in to St. John’s between winter storms! Another squall is expected to arrive today and last a few days. https://ntv.ca/rainfall-snowfall-and-wind-warnings-are-in-effect-ahead-of-another-slow-moving-winter-storm/ But I’m enjoying the comfort of my cute apartment on this chilly morning. From the awesome window seat I can...
I walked to a grocery store to get provisions. Some views along the way… And now it’s a chilly, well downright cold evening in St. John’s. But the view is super sweet!
